WarCry Forum Guidelines
The WarCry Network has always taken pride in the fact that little need exists for active moderation. If you see a violation of one or more of these guidelines, please report it to Morkdaorc@warcry.com immediately. Be sure to include information about the post as well as what forum the message was on. We will attempt to act on all reports as quickly as possible. It is the community itself that sets the "mood" of each forum and therefore the site as a whole, so please post responsibly.
General Guidelines
The following guidelines apply to all WarCry forums. Additional rules and topic outlines specific to each forum or group of forums can be found following this list.
-No personal attacks or flames. This includes, but is not limited to: insulting others for their comments and ideas, language skills, age, sex and religious beliefs.
-No offensive racial or sexist remarks.
-No offensive slurs regarding anyone's religious, sexual, political, ancestral heritage, or racial status. This includes both direct and indirect insults and accusations. Exceptions to this are those remarks restricted to an in-game basis and done for role-playing purposes, and are still subject to moderator review.
-No posting another user's personal information without his or her permission. This includes, but is not limited to, real name, email address, IM contacts, address, phone number, and IP address.
-No spamming. This includes, but is not limited to: comments not contributing to the board, advertisements, cross posts, and messages posted repeatedly.
-No explicit content of sexual or violent nature. This includes links or URLs to sites containing such content.
-Impersonating game officials or developers, other posters, or WarCry Staff members is not tolerated.
-No personal attacks against forum moderators. If you disagree with an action taken by a moderator, you can send your complaint to Morkdaorc@warcry.com where it will be reviewed.
-No intentional attempts to bypass board mechanisms. This includes intentionally working around the board profanity filter (if active) or working around bans. Attempts to do so may result in bans or an extension of exiting bans.
-No Bumping! While the boards do support message bumping this option only affects those users who have selected to view messages in that order. Intentional attempts to bump threads will result in those messages being removed. Continued attempts may result in loss of posting privileges.
-Do not post bugs that can be exploited for personal gain. Do not post bugs, macros, plug-ins or scripts that may prevent others from playing the game as it was intended. This guideline includes the posting of site locations that advertise such bugs, macros, plug-ins or scripts.
-Do not promote virtual property services of any kind, except those explicitly maintained or permitted by the game developer. This includes links to any site that promotes these services.
-Do not post any information that violates a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Penalties
Board admins reserve the right to ban individuals from posting without warning, depending on the severity of the offense. In most cases, a general warning may be issued to all posters. Then, if that fails to correct the problem, a warning to the specific offender may be given. Banning may or may not be permanent, depending on the severity of the offense.
